Experience
I have had previous tutoring experience for the past couple of years through Wyzant. As a tutor my goal is to help- whether it be figuring out a study plan or explaining and discussing concepts from class. I like to tailor lessons to each person based on their individual needs and learning styles. My musical experience includes 7 years of private voice lessons, 3 of which have been at the collegiate level. I have taken and passed undergraduate courses in music theory, and sight-singing and I am UConn's Chamber Choir group. In the sciences, I have taken undergraduate introductory biology and chemistry courses, passing with A's. I also have laboratory experience. In the summer of 2014, I worked in a genetics lab at the UConn Health Center, and during the summer of 2015 I worked in two different Autism Research labs. Currently, I am continuing in one of the Autism labs, working on an honors thesis that combines music and autism. In Fall 2014, I studied abroad in Paris for an entire semester, working on my language skills and taking courses toward my minor, which I have now finished.
