Although I have not had any direct teaching or tutoring experiences, I had worked as a Camp Counselor at a summer camp called High Meadow for 3 summers. This job included the skills needed to tutor, such as strong communication skills and the opportunity to serve as a role model and set a good example. I want to be a tutor because I think I am very good at breaking down and explaining things in a less complicated manor. As an MIS major, we are taught to think of everything logically and sequentially, which really helps understanding of basic tasks or subjects. I also taken a very broad range of classes, mainly MIS which refers to using computer programs as well as other business courses, and also some writing courses.
